Frequently Asked Questions

What's a promo code versus a discount code?

These terms are generally interchangeable - both provide discounts at checkout. Some retailers use 'promo code' for percentage discounts and 'discount code' for dollar amounts, but this varies. Both types are available on discoucheap.com.

Are there restrictions on coupon usage during sales?

Some retailers disable regular coupons during major sales, while others allow stacking. Black Friday and holiday sales often have special codes. Check discoucheap.com during sales events for codes that work with discounted prices.

What's the difference between percentage off and dollar off?

Percentage off reduces your total by a set percentage (e.g., 20% off). Dollar off reduces by a fixed amount (e.g., $10 off). For large purchases, percentage codes often save more; for small orders, dollar-off codes may be better. Compare on discoucheap.com.

Are there student discounts available?

Many retailers offer student discounts through programs like Student Beans or UNiDAYS. These are separate from regular coupon codes. Check discoucheap.com for student-specific deals, or verify student discount eligibility directly with retailers.

Can I combine a coupon with a price match?

Most retailers don't allow combining price matches with coupon codes. Price match policies typically exclude additional discounts. Check the retailer's price match terms, as policies vary significantly between stores.

What should I check after applying a coupon code?

Verify the discount applied correctly, check your final total, confirm the code terms were met (minimum purchase, etc.), and ensure all items in your cart are eligible. Review the order summary before completing checkout to catch any issues.
